Presentation
This course enables you to define the following for each
product :
- The criteria and procedures for applying regulatory
texts. - The standards to be applied and the measurement
methodologies to be implemented. - The test methods used for a given test.
The course is punctuated by practical exercises to
enable participants to familiarise themselves with the
measurement instrumentation.
Program
1 - Introduction to the fundamentals of EMC
Sources of disturbance - Coupling of disturbances - EMC level of a
product
2 - Classifying measurement instrumentation
Standards specific to measurement instrumentation: CISPR 16 -
Emission test instrumentation - Standardised measurement location
- Immunity test bench - Characteristics of measurement equipment
3 - Differentiating EMC test methods
Main applicable standards (CISPR 25, ISO 11452 , ISO 7637 etc.) -
Measurement of conducted emissions : Test installation and
implementation - Measurement of radiated emissions: Means of
measurement and their main characteristics, Summary of radiated
conducted emissions - Conducted and radiated radiofrequency
immunity: Applicable standards, Means of measurement and their
main characteristics, Summary of immunity to radiofrequency fields
- Temporal immunity: Origins of transient disturbances, Electrostatic
discharges, Transients - Means of measurement and main
characteristics - Summary of transient immunity tests
4 - Implementing EMC tests in the laboratory
Presentation of measurement instrumentation - Presentation of
tests - Definition of measurement conditions - Importance of the
installation and the test bench - Case studies
